Hey darling!
meet the curatorHey darling, I’m Hana: chronic book-buyer, kindred spirit, and your lead explorer.
After years of navigating the loud, lovely chaos of family life, I realised something: magic isn't just for children, and the "wonder" shouldn't be something we only curate for others. We deserve our own expeditions, too.
I spent a long time prioritising the urgent over the wonderful - tackling whatever popped up in the day while leaving the things that actually delight me for a later that never quite arrived. I wanted more of the things that make me feel like me: the moments that make your heart flutter, the rituals that connect you to the people you love, and the tiny adventures that stop the weeks from blurring together.
As Annie Dillard famously wrote, ‘How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”
I eventually discovered that the best adventures don’t require a passport; they just require a kitchen table and a bit of enthusiasm. I’m here to help you weave delight and adventure back into the fabric of your week, moving from just getting through the week to intentionally inhabiting your days.
🖋️ analogue at heart: choosing the real world over the infinite scroll
📍 plotter of small delights: because if it isn’t on the list, it usually doesn’t happen.
🗺️ curator of tiny adventures: making room for the delight-filled, cosiest of dreams
Your home shouldn't just be the place where the laundry lives—it should be the place where your own adventures come to life. Let’s get back to the things that actually delight you.
Dust off your ‘One Day’ drawer
We all have one. It’s where the fancy stationery, the ‘good’ candles, and the slightly ambitious travel guides go to hibernate. We have the curiosity (and the desire), but the days have a habit of disappearing into a blur of school runs and cold tea.
It’s easy to get stuck in a loop - watching someone else’s curated adventure on a screen while your own interests sit on the shelf gathering dust.
That’s exactly why I created Kitchen Table Darling: because I’m done not indulging my own delight, and I wonder if you might be too…
Think of this as your field guide for the ‘here and now’. I provide the prompts, the plans, and the gentle nudges you need to stop saving the good stuff for a ‘later’ that never quite arrives.
You’re much closer to a life of tiny adventures than you think. You’re in the right place to start experimenting - no passport or ‘new year, new you’ nonsense required.
the manifesto
the kitchen table is our headquarters
it’s the place where the best plans are hatched, the messiest lists are made, and all our tiny adventures begin
the homebody deserves adventure
we believe that adventure isn’t defined by the distance travelled, but by the depth of our curiosity. A kitchen table in a cosy corner of the world is a perfectly valid place to begin a quest, and the best journeys usually start right where we are.
delight is a choice we make on purpose
joy isn’t a destination we eventually reach; it’s a practice we protect. We use the Darling Itinerary to stop waiting for the ‘right time’ and start making room for the wonderful right now.
we have an analogue heart
we love the digital tools that connect us, but we refuse to let them rule our attention. We believe the best adventures happen off-screen
we are recklessly enthusiastic
we have no time for ‘cool’ indifference. Lukewarm is not a temperature we recognise. We’re here for the deep dives, the rabbit holes, and the unapologetic joy of being a bit "too excited" about the things we love.
perfection is a digital hallucination
we have no interest in the airbrushed or doing it for the ‘gram. We value the genuine spark of a moment over how it might look to a stranger. We’re here for adventures that feel meaningful on the inside, regardless of how they look on the outside.
we are the Society of Tiny Adventures
we believe in trading ‘one day’ for ‘today’. We are a community of kindred spirits who know that a life well-lived is built on adventure and delight.
